McIntosh Energy acquired by Ohio C-Store Chain

FORT WAYNE, IN. February 17th — A convenience store chain familiar with motorists in Ohio and Michigan is expanding to Indiana with the acquisition of McIntosh Energy Company and its four MacFood Mart convenience stores. Ridi Stores, established in 1999 in Toledo, Ohio, currently operates 19 locations in six counties in Ohio and Michigan.

McIntosh Energy Company has been a Fort Wayne Business fixture for over 70 years and got its start by delivering home heating oil to rapidly growing neighborhoods in Fort Wayne. The company was founded by Russell McIntosh in 1953, and later succeeded by his son, Ray McIntosh. The company provides fuel delivery services and is a Sunoco Distributor offering high quality petroleum products at its four MacFood Mart locations.

“It’s been a great source of pride to serve the Greater Fort Wayne community throughout the years, and we wanted to ensure these stores would be in good hands for the future. I’m confident Ridi Stores will continue to provide the level of service and community involvement our guests have come to know and love,” said Ray McIntosh.

Ridi Stores will also be taking over bulk fuel delivery operations and Pacific Pride fleet card services including a stand-alone fleet fueling site in addition to its MacFood Mart locations. Operations will continue with the same reliability and service standards customers have depended on for decades.

While no official timeline is set, MacFood Mart locations will be rebranded to Ridi Stores.

McIntosh Energy Donates Land to Expand Regional Trail Network

McIntosh Energy has completed a land parcel donation valued at $80,000 to support the development of Northeast Indiana’s growing multi-use trail network.

The City of Fort Wayne will utilize the donated land as a trailhead and trail extension for an 82-mile connector trail linking Pokagon State Park in Angola to Ouabache State Park in Bluffton, locally known as the Poka-Bache Connector Trail.

Fort Wayne City Council approved the donation by unanimous vote earlier this week, helping close a critical gap in the region’s growing trail network. Current plans for the more than two-acre parcel include a trail hub and parking area for trail users, located adjacent to McIntosh Energy’s MacFood Mart Brookwood location.

“President and owner Ray McIntosh has long supported trail development in Fort Wayne,” said Jessica Bardon, Marketing and Public Relations Manager for McIntosh Energy. “This donation was his idea, and reflects a long-term commitment to trail connectivity that directly benefits neighborhoods surrounding our Brookwood store.”

This donation reflects McIntosh Energy’s long-standing relationship with Fort Wayne Trails and its belief that businesses play an important role in shaping the communities they serve. The donated parcel sits along a key corridor in Northeast Indiana’s regional trail network, making it a strategic location for improving connectivity, accessibility, and safe travel options for residents. By supporting trail infrastructure adjacent to an existing MacFood Mart location, McIntosh Energy aims to contribute to thoughtful, long-term community planning that benefits both neighborhoods and local businesses.

FORT WAYNE, IN. June 10th — McIntosh Energy Co. received top honors at Greater Fort Wayne Inc.’s 2025 Annual Meeting, taking home the 2025 Excellence in Small Business Award. The event, held last Thursday, brought together nearly 600 community and business leaders including Governor Mike Braun, for the presentation of this year’s Business Excellence Awards.

McIntosh Energy, a veteran-founded and family-owned business, took home this year’s small business honor. The company operates four MacFood Mart convenience stores in the Fort Wayne area and offers fuel delivery and fleet card services to both local and national businesses.

The upgrades are essential for ensuring the continued safety and efficiency of our fueling operations. We are committed to maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety for our customers, which is why we have chosen to proactively upgrade our facilities.

It’s official! Pacific Pride accepted at Exxon and Mobil just made fleet card fueling even better! Phase 2 of the Exxon and Mobil site activation has been completed. All U.S. Exxon and Mobil sites are now Pacific Pride – PrideAdvantage card accepting!

Should a PrideAdvantage customer encounter a problem fueling at any Exxon or Mobil location, please notify the Helpdesk and provide the site name, address, city and state.

Exxon and Mobil Join the Extended Network

The family of brands that accept the PrideAdvantage card continues to grow!

Known globally for their Synergy gasoline and diesel products, Exxon and Mobil are the latest brand-wide additions to the Pacific Pride Extended Network. Combined, Exxon and Mobil constitute a network of over 12,000 retail fueling facilities in 48 states. Once all sites are activated, the PrideAdvantage card will be accepted at over 65,000 locations nationwide!

Site activation for Exxon and Mobil will occur in two waves. The initial wave is comprised of the 32 states on the list is accessible here. Sites in the remaining states are expected to go live in the fall.

Transactions at Exxon and Mobil locations will settle at 98.5%. An updated ‘PrideAdvantage Card at Extended Network and Accepting Sites Table’ to your ‘Amended and Restated Pacific Pride Franchise Card Program Agreement’ is attached here for your file.
